For over a decade UNL’s Nebraska Cooperative Development Centerhas been assisting people in rural Nebraska start cooperative businesses.  Here a few of their stories……

Farmstead First – a cooperatively owned cheese making business

Nebraska Food Cooperative – an online farmers’ market

Heartland Nuts ‘N More – specializing in producing, processing and marketing black walnuts and pecans

Nebraska Woody Florals – owned by independent, farm-based family businesses that grow a variety of woody floral products to sell to the cooperative

Elwood Hometown Cooperative Market – community owned grocery store
